New Baby! May 2012

After Travis's graduation in Washington DC, I flew to New York to be with Erika and her family as she had her new baby.
I get to see the neighborhood with Erika, Cami and Austin before the baby is born. They are lucky to live within a short walking distance to a beautiful park.

May 24, Erika's last picture pregnant. She went into labor that night.
I missed the birth because it happened in the middle of the night and there was no time to call in a sitter so I could go. We all went to bed on May 24, with Erika thinking she was in labor. They left for hospital around midnight. Sterling called me about a half hour later with news of a very quick birth!!! Erika had no time to get an epidural, so delivered naturally. She is awesome!
The next morning, Sterling, takes the two kids to meet their new little brother.

Erika introduces them to BRANDON ARVID FENWICK.
Born May 25, 2012 in Albany, New York

First family picture with the latest addition.

Austin waits his turn while Cami holds her little brother for the first time.

A tender moment between a little girl and her baby brother.

A happy mother!

Back at the park...
Feeding the ducks is so fun!
Look at all the ducklings!!!

Fountains are fun too!

When Brandon was about 2-3 days old, Erika felt strong enough to join us at the park.

Brandon

We find time to take the bigger kids to the library for story time.

Sterling gets in a little playtime with the kids.

Jungle gym extraodinaire!
Erika and I took the kids to a great little park in a nearby city.

Travis's Graduation May 2012

Travis Lundell, our son-in-law graduated from the Uniformed Service University of the Health Sciences (USUHS) with a PhD in Neuroscience Research.

He and Krista had already moved from Maryland, where they lived for 5 years while he attended school, to Missouri. They flew in with baby Troy. Travis's mom, Michele, flew in from Utah and my mom and Bob flew in from Colorado. I came from Budapest, but Arvid stayed to work.

Travis tries on his graduation clothes, and as he is a super man, he poses as Superman in his own cape!

Among the festivities, we had time to go out for an evening with some of their good friends. Two other families came to visit, but one family left before I could get a picture with them all.

Krista and Troy pose while we get ready for the graduates to march in.

A very proud mother with her son. (Written by a very proud mother-in-law.)

All of us (except for Bob, who took the picture) with Travis's mentor.

Travis show his diploma in front of Constitution Hall, where the ceremony was held.

After the ceremony, Travis decides his old shoes had lived a good, long life and as one of them had lost its sole, he laid them to rest.

Congratulations Travis!!!! A job well done. You are awesome.
We're proud of you and we love you!

ELEVEN!!!!!
