Scotland

Arvid and I went to Edinburgh, Scotland!!!
October 2011

We went all around town and saw lots of the major sites, including the Edinburgh Castle.

In the city
Edinburgh Castle

On a tour bus

We visited the Royal Yacht Britannia that was used by Queen Elizabeth and family for years. Pictured are the queen's bedroom, study, Charles and Diana's room from their honeymoon and many of the other rooms on the yacht. It was fabulous!

Another view of the Queen's bedroom

The Living Room - where the queen often entertained visitors
and where Diana played the piano
(on the left - out of the picture).
The Queen's office
The Royal Dining Room
Sun room the family often used.
Guest room (Honeymoon Suite)
It has the only double bed on the yacht
The Queen's bedroom
A copy of the "thing"
(which name I can't remember)
where the prince's picture was taken in the past

Arvid is posing outside of our townhouse (turned into a hotel).
We had our own apartment with a huge living room, bedroom and a tiny bathroom and kitchen.
It was such a great place that we wish we could have hosted a party.

Outside the row houses where our apartment was.
Inside the Master Bedroom
The Living Room
We also rented a brand new Mini Cooper S and drove around the countryside. We visited Loch Lomond (and of course had to sing the song about the loch).
Posing with my mini!
The last place in the country that we visited was St. Andrew's Golf Course - the birthplace of golf. As a golf enthusiast, Arvid was so glad to be able to be there. It was beautiful!

Yay! Pictures! I think you should start forwarding your letters to Ryan to all of us because you seem to tell him a lot about your trips, but we don't hear about any of them! Looks like fun!!

I agree with Erika - I really enjoyed those letters you sent from India! And - obviously - you are continuing to have adventures! Love the pictures, too!
